Life Experience…
I have been blessed (and courageous some may say) enough to have two good breaks from the traditional work and day to day commitments that most of us deal with for the majority of our adult lives. I believe these experiences have had a profound impact on shaping me into the person I am today, and have given me learning and life experience that can’t be taught or replicated in any educative institution. The most valued part from my perspective has been personal interactions and learning about other people in different countries and parts of Australia; how they live, what sustains them and what makes them happy.
2000 – 12 month cultural and surfing/snowboarding adventure around the world incorporating 22 countries across 3 continents. It began with a snow season in St Anton Austria, followed by driving adventure around western europe focussed mostly but not completely around the Atlantic ocean. This was then followed by an Eastern European adventure, and then onto South America for 3 months of serious cultural learning. the final few months were spent in the US and encompassed both the east and west coasts.
